Bengaluru cylinder blast: Fire breaks out in rooftop café in Koramangala, man jumps off 4th floor

Where a man jumped from the fourth floor to escape the fire, a rooftop cafe and bar caught fire in Bengaluru’s Koramangala area. This incident occurred on 18 August at 11:45 am.

The person who fired the challan has been taken to the hospital for treatment. The fire started from a cylinder explosion on the roof of a commercial building which housed two cheese bars and the Mudpipe Café. According to Harishekaran, who is ADGP of this Fire and Rescue Service, a cylinder leaked because the restaurant had kept filled cylinders on the fourth floor.

The fire spread rapidly throughout the building because several cylinders kept in the kitchen of the restaurant and bar had exploded. The first explosion occurred when the gas was linked to the cylinder. After this, it increased rapidly and after that, fire started in cylinders three-four. At the incident level, These people brought the fire under control with at least six fire brigade vehicles.

The cafe was completely gutted by the fire. No casualty was reported except two persons. They reported to the police. There were minor injuries, hence the gym was there. On the third issue, the one named Cult Fit, which was running at that time, also suffered heavy losses. According to India TV report, apart from this, some pieces of the cylinder started falling down and the vehicles parked below were also damaged after the explosion.
